Non-Stick Craft Sheet (Ranger)

The award-winning Inkssentials™
Non-Stick Craft Sheet™
The award-winning Inkssentials Non-Stick Craft sheet is the answer to your craft surface needs! It is an indispensable tool for every craft room or art studio. The multi-purpose Non-Stick Craft Sheet provides protection to a crafter’s work surface for many craft mediums. This larger (15” by 18”) reusable non-stick craft surface is perfect for working with 12” by 12” scrapbook pages, rubber stamping, card making, altered art books and more.

• Heat Resistant up to 400 degrees and it repels liquids! Protect your work surface from heat tools,
craft irons, or any heat-producing craft appliance such as the Ranger Melting Pot®.

• The slick surface allows for easy clean up – just peel off paint, embossing powder, glues and more
or it can be wiped clean with a paper towel.

• Reusable over and over for multiple craft projects.

Project uses:
• All ink applications – stamping, brayering, resist and distressing techniques

• Ideal for use with Adirondack® Alcohol Inks – no ink is wasted and clean up is easy with a little
Adirondack® Alcohol Blending Solution and a paper towel

• Use as a direct surface for monoprinting techniques

• Use it for Adirondack Color Wash™ Sprays

• Heat emboss with embossing powders and inks

• Ranger Melt Art® projects with the Melting Pot and UTEE

• Other melting projects such as beeswax, hot glue, soap chips, candle wax, solder

• Use to protect baking surface for baking polymer clay or shrink plastic

• Any projects using glues such as Ranger Glossy Accents™, adhesives, decoupage – glues just peel
   off when dry

• Painting (to protect your work surface)

• Directly as a paint palette

• Any excess melted product, once cooled can be easily peeled off. So melted embossing powder
can be peeled off for an embellishment, or excess paint can be peeled off and tossed.

• Use the Inkssentials Craft Scraper to easily scrape off stubborn glues and other mediums off of the Non-Stick Craft Sheet.

Care of Non-Stick Craft Sheet
To extend the use of the Inkssentials Non-Stick Craft Sheet, store rolled up or flat. Do not fold. Do not use as a surface for cutting.

Quick project ideas:
Create page or card embellishments with Glossy Accents™ – pebble-like dimensional embellishments can be created by simply pouring Glossy Accents directly onto the Non-Stick Craft Sheet in a circle or other shape and letting it dry for 24 hours. Once dry, peel off by lifting up the Non-Stick Craft Sheet off of your work surface and peel it away from the embellishment from underneath. Use with decorative papers or other ephemera. Cut to size of the embellishment and adhere with Glossy Accents!

Create page or card embellishments with UTEE and the Melting Pot™. Carefully pour melted UTEE from the Melting Pot onto the Non-Stick Craft Sheet in a puddle a little larger than your desired stamp and press stamp into hot UTEE. Let set for a few seconds, then lift off the stamp and you have a dimension accent for your artwork. This can be further embellished with either rubbing Adirondack® Metallic Mixatives or Posh Metallic Inkabilities™ on the raised surface of the UTEE. The UTEE embellishment will lift off the Non-Stick Craft Sheet easily.

Tips for Ranger Embossing Powder

Ranger Embossing Powder is available for purchase

Tips When Embossing:
• Embossing powders can be used over any type of water-based ink including dye, pigment and
embossing inks. When working with dye ink, move quickly since dye ink is fast-drying.

• To stamp with embossing ink, begin by inking your stamp
Stamp image onto
   matte or Inkssentials™ Gloss Paper.

• Use scrap paper under your stamped image when pouring embossing powder. Remove excess
powder by sliding it off the card surface onto the scrap paper. Tap the back of the image with
your finger to release additional excess powder that doesn’t stick to the embossing ink. Be sure to
return the excess embossing powder on the scrap paper back to the jar for the next use – no
   waste!

• If any stray embossing powder is still on the paper, use a small paint brush to whisk it off of the
surface – otherwise it will melt onto the paper when heat embossed.

• Remember, when using embossing ink – clear ink will not affect the color of the embossing
powder. Tinted inks might affect the color of the embossing depending upon how clear or light
the base of the embossing powder is. For instance, if the tinted ink has a blue base, and the
embossing powder has a clear base, the finished embossing may appear to have a blue tint.

• Use the Ranger Inkssentials™
Non-Stick Craft Sheet™ to protect your work surface when heat
   embossing your stamped image.

• Embossing powders can be melted with the
Heat It™ Craft Tool or in the Ranger Melting Pot®!

• When using the
Heat It™ Craft Tool, first warm it up for a few seconds before aiming at the
paper to emboss. Hold the craft tool a few inches away from the paper surface and heat evenly.
As soon as you see the embossing change – whether raised, metallic, glitter, or matte, the
   heating is completed.

• When using UTEE, slowly bring the craft tool down to the paper surface from several inches
above to warm the UTEE and help it melt more easily.

• Remember when using pigment ink on glossy paper, you must use embossing powder and heat
emboss or the pigment ink will never dry on this non-porous surface.

• Don’t be afraid to mix and match embossing powders to create your own recipes/combinations
   for added fun! Check out
Ranger’s Embossing Powders Recipe Book for ideas.

• Embossing powders can be used on paper, paper mache, wood, clay and more!

Crystal Laquer

Create you own craft embellishments using Crystal laquer.  Using a non-stick craft sheet, put droplets of crystal laquer in different sizes directly to the craft  sheet and let dry overnight.  Peel off and vole` you have instant embellishments. For a glimmer look, sprinkle glitter on the laquer before drying and you have a sparlky dot homemade. Apply with glue dots for an awesome homemade embellishment.

Variation:  Pool large amounts of Crystal Laquer directly to the craft sheet and let dry overnight. Remove dried pieces and die cut with Sizzix dies. This work best with the colored Crystal Laquer.

Have fun!

With Sympathy

Embossing & Brayer Technique

Jill Jacobsen - Florida

Instructions : 1. Cut white cardstock to 8 ½ x 5 ½ and fold in half for card base. Cut dark green to 5 ¼ x 4. Cut glossy cardstock to 3 ¾ x 5.
2. For background on glossy cardstock, stamp leaves randomly with Versamark (make sure to use your Static X first). You can leave space between them or overlap them. Use Clear Detail Sparkle N Sprinkle Embossing Powder and emboss.
3. Using a brayer and green dye ink, brayer ink over the cardstock, going over it until it is evenly covered.
4. Place your glossy cardstock with a piece of plain copy paper on top of it on the ironing board. Heat iron to med/high setting with NO STEAM, and iron the cardstock. This is going to pick up the embossing powder and you will see the image appear on the copy paper. This leaves a mat piece of patterned paper.
5. Stamp same image again on glossy cardstock with Versamark and emboss with a Sparkle N Sprinkle Radiant Moss Embossing Powder.
6. Stamp sentiment on green cardstock with Versamark and emboss with White Detail sparkle N Sprinkle Embossing Powder. Cut in banner style and attach. Adhere button and ribbon.
