Good Morning Ladies,Yesterday I didn't get a chance to stop by the shop. It is the day I drive to IL. with Windy for an agility lesson. I did talk to Melody and she told me there is a big paper cut order that arrived in yesterday.Stamp on in and check it out.I will be doing another demo tomorrow. Don't forget I always do a drawing for all who watch the demo. Stop by and see what I have in store for you.I saw my first fall leaf yesterday. It was so beautiful. Like a painting from a tree. Soon we will all be out raking and having fun with our little ones. Don't forget to grab you camera for all the events of fall. Pumpkin patch.....beautiful fall scenes in your town....jumping in the leaves....apple picking....Here are two more samples....For this card I used two of the new Jennie Bowlin papers layered on an a 2 card. I added two end cuts and a vellum saying. I attached the vellum with flower brads. To top this card off with stamped and colorized flowers. A saying makes a perfect and easy card.I love playing with feathers ....beads...charms... This card had beads and feathers. I stamped an Indian image and colorized it with brush markers. I cut out a vellum saying. The background mats are from coordenations. To make my feather embellishment I used the african fiber. I wrapped and notted this around the feathers. I used waxed beading cord to attatch the beads. I tied this into the feather bundle. To attach this embellishment to the front of the card I used the scrap dots and zip dry. I love the artsy feel of this card.I encourage you to try something new in embellishment. Try a feather bundle. You can use a feather bundle in many ways. I used mine on a native american card, but feathers also go well with fantasy images, bird images, show girl or dancer images. Let your mind go wild and see what you come up with to wow your firiends and family.Well....off to cook Sam's breakfast....Happy Scraps, Mrs. Swandog
Good Morning Ladies,Just a wee bit chilly outside this morning. Has caused me to slow down a bit. I stopped in the store yesterday. The make and take was way cool. Just another way to go a little bit greener. Melody has the tote bags avalible for a greener you too. Just ask about them when you stamp on in.I guess I didn't get there quite soon enough. As a few stamps came in and I missed them all. I did snag some of the new christmas paper. I love the flocked ones and the one with foil. The matching brads are awesome, as well as the Christmas keys. Here is a sample for you today...I created this card with a pre-scored card from the paper cut. I covered the outside and inside flaps with the Moxie halloween cardstock. I then added images from the Sunday International halloween set. Three brads set off the wording. Inside I tucked in pumpkins from Inkadinkado, more brads and cardstock. Sure to delight the little spooks in my life.I didn't mention yesterday that my turkey breast turned out great. Another meal I can add to my on the move reciepes. That doesn't happen very often. LOLWell....the clock is chiming...so it's off to cook Sam's breakfast....Happy Scraps,Mrs. Swandog
Good Morning Ladies,I guess I have a touch of the flu, but because I got the flu vaccine I am not feeling much of the effects. That is a good thing.I'm wondering what Melody has cooked up for make and take today? Those of you who have purchased the new magic embossing powder from sparkle and sprinkle let me know how it is. I have it but have not had a chance to try it yet. So give me your feed back in the comment section of the blog or discussion board. Here are a couple of samples for you today....This card and the next card were sent to me from a swapper from across the country. I don't know the name of the company. But they are very cute and spoke to me. On this card I colorized the image with brush markers. I then used four mats to use as a base. The mats are from the summer collection from the papercut and cooredinations. I used the bling from basic grey. Quick easy cute card.I colorized this image with brush markers. I triple matted it with cardstock from the summer collection of the papercut. I then added ribbon, buttons, and a paper flower. Once again a quick , cute, easy, card.Well.....I'm off to get ready for my day job...Happy Scraps,Mrs. Swandog
