OK, I will get the ball rolling.....I guess my favorite christmas holiday tradition is going to my mom"s house on Christmas Eve. The house is full to the brim with people of all ages. We eat buffet style. Many dishes are present every year.

I lost my son Randy to cancer 12 years ago, and we always made Christmas cookies together every year, but haven't been able to do that since...so a few years ago, my youngest son, Tony and Randy's twin brother, decided to take a day after Thanksgiving to make it a day of just the 3 of us and do Christmas shopping for the grandkids...and it has been a blessed time for all 3 of us...but boy am I tuckered at the end of the day! But I wouldn't trade my time w/my boys for anything!

Linda,

I'm so sorry you have lost a child. I can't even imagine. Your new tradition sounds like a great one. I would say you have some special boys!!

Linda,

I totally agree with you. I try to live life to the fullest everyday. It doesn't leave much room for sleep, but I don't want to miss out on anything.

Yes, I am so thankful for my hobby...when I can't sleep at night, I will get up and go into my room and start making cards...Seems I always have some project that needs finished. This hobby makes me so happy and fulfilled...I was never a card sender, but now I send cards to people for whatever reason and it has become sort of a ministry for me..

My children enjoyed this tradition for many years. They are too old to trick or treat now. Maybe they can come over and help grandpa hold down the fort!
